Ich bin eigentlich nie ein großer Leia-Fan gewesen, aber "Bloodline" hat mich dermaßen begeistert, dass ich mir gleich das nächste Buch von Claudia Gray geholt habe, in der Hoffnung, es möge genauso genial sein.War es leider nicht.Die Grundidee (Teenager-Leia entdeckt, dass ihre Eltern in der entstehenden Rebellion aktiv sind und versucht selbst etwas dazu beizutragen) ist zwar ganz nett, aber sowohl das Umfeld als auch die Charaktere haben einfach nicht die Tiefe und Dreidimensionalität wie im anderen Roman. Man lernt auch keinen der anderen Teenager so richtig kennen, selbst Amilyn Holdo bleibt irgendwie vage. Darüberhinaus springt die Handlung ständig wild zwischen den einzelnen Schauplätzen und Handlungselementen (Alderaan, Coruscant, Survivaltraining, Jugendparlament) hin und her, so dass man den Eindruck hat, Leia mache gleichzeitig alles und nichts.Die Romanze mit Kier war ganz süß (wobei man als Fan ja aber sowieso weiß, dass das nicht von Dauer ist ;) ), ihr Ende dagegen doch sehr abrupt und melodramatisch.Ein paar der Szenen waren ganz niedlich, und es ließ sich insgesamt gut lesen, aber es ist kein Werk, das in die Geschichte eingehen wird.Schade.
... sehr gute Star Wars Romane schreiben.Leia: Princess of Alderaan ist ein coming of age roman und beschäftigt sich mit dem Erwachsenwerden von Leia Organa. Um Erwachsen zu werden muss Leia drei Prüfungen absolvieren, wie es die Tradition Alderaans verlangt.Der Roman zeichnet vor allem ein sehr gutes Bild von Leia in ihrer Jugend - sie ist zum Zeitpunkt des Romans 16 Jahre alt - und begleitet sie dabei wie sie in der galaktischen Politik respektive im Senat Fuß fasst, wie sie politischen Allianzen gegen das erste galaktische Imperium schmiedet, ihre ersten Kontakte mit der Rebellion und auch mit Grand Moff Tarkin.Insgesamt hat der Roman keine großen Kampfszenen, sondern fokussiert sich auf die Politik und die Politik hinter der Politik. Und das zu jeder Zeit sehr spannend mit einigen interessanten Twists!Anzumerken ist auch, dass der Roman viele verschiedene Querverweise zu verschiedenen Star Wars Filmen hat, wie z.B. Rogue One. Die Andeutungen zu Episode VIII beschränken sich auf Leias Verhältnis zu Amilyn Holdo, die definitiv in The Last Jedi zu sehen sein wird. Es finden sich natürlich noch einige Verweise mehr, die Fans erkennen werden und die trotzdem zu keiner Sekunde nur das Gefühl erwecken, Fanservice zu sein.Besonders gut sind auch die wichtigsten Nebencharaktere geschrieben. Man erfährt so einiges über die Geschichte von Amilyn Holdo, die Beziehungen von Leia zu ihren Eltern Breha und Bail, inklusive deren Beziehung zu einander, und Mon Mothma. Auch Leias erste, große Liebe wird behandelt, welche bei weitem nicht der alleinige Fokus des Romans ist.Insgesamt festigt Claudia Gray mit diesem Buch weiter ihre Stellung als die beste, aktuelle Autorin von Star Wars Romanen.
